Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

Serious question here, what would the chances of a RAF Regt. L/Cpl getting a spot on an OMLT for a tour be? I'm imagining slim to none, but if you don't ask and all that?

  2. Slim to none. Depends if the hosting Bn is desperate (I mean that in the nicest way) and they put a trawl out. I've yet to see RAF Regt as part of OMLT.

  3. Who'd be mentoring who??

  4. i dont think even the ANA are that desperate

  5. Since when did the RAF have Lcpl's??

  6. RAF Regiment introduced LCpls last year (or rather, announced the introduction of the LCpl rank).

I always assumed an SAC was a LCpl equivalent but apparently not.

  7. There will be a chance, but short of approaching the ONLT Bn direct, I don't know how you go about it.

Although based on an inf bn, OMLTs are mult-cap badge organisation. Also don't forget the separate organisation that provides Phase 1 and 2 recruit training for ANA.
