Old RAF Plane Crashes in Oregon

Oh Christ, I think it's Blue Max II owned by Bob Guilford. Was he flying it on the day? He is one of the USA's most experienced aviation Lawyers, and has been flying since before I was born. Blue Max II is an ex-SwAF Mk.58 as i remember it.

Yep, it's Guilford's plane. It's still being determined whether or not he was the pilot. It's been a real mess. Since nothing like this has EVER happened at an airshow here, nobody has a plan for it.

More reports coming in, looks like Bob was flying it , and tried to stay with the airplane, doesn't look like he got out. Bad bad news to start Monday with.

That looks like the lady herself. Bob had logged over 4000 hours flying Hunters, and was the only US authorised Hawker Hunter instructor according to one report.

RIP Bob.
