NuYuoo Helpline scam

I have noticed that I have been billed once a week at £3:00 a time from the above helpline on my 3 mobile network although I have never subscribed to them. Strangely enough the calls to them are recorded at the same day same time every week. My own fault for allowing it to go on for so long and not checking my bill regularly looks like it has been happening for 12 weeks now. Has anyone else had issues with this scam ?

Unfortunately your options are limited with this kind of scam.
It's been going on for about 10 years that I can recall.
The only recourse is firstly to your operator as Nuyoo are a shower of scamming liars who will say they are stopping and continue to rip you off.
Can you get into a 3mobile shop?

How do they hook you up ??
I keep getting images sent to my phone, but as its an ancient Nokia 1100 they dont open so I presume I cannot sign up by accident ?
I am with Giff Gaff and pay 5 quid a month as I rarely use the phone anyway

My son's 3 account and my own 3 account were being bled weekly by PayForIt. I contacted 3 directly over the phone and got the brush off.
I then Emailed and wrote letters to several 3 address I googled, informing them I would cancel our accounts (and my wife's ) at the earliest opportunity.
I received a call from some manager or other apologising and I got most of the money back.
My son's was related to a Facebook Survey he had taken part in, I'd pressed an on screen button while looking at porn- so the 3 guy told me .

I will be on the blower to 3mobile first thing tomorrow. I will get my money back . Any grief from them and mine and my wife's contract with them will be cancelled pronto.

Of course you cant just cancel a contract, and as 3 pointed out they would just take me to court if i didn't fork up.
I was lucky that the contract on two of the accounts had weeks to go, and i could wait for the third to expire in a few months.
But, the point is that the provider, certainly 3 anyway, can deal with PFI and get the money back-and look at how you got into this 'contract' with PFI. And all pretty quickly.
The phone helpline operators will probably brush you off with the line "PFI is a third party provider and not their business ".
This was particularly disgusting as my sons 3 account was supposed to be capped at £15.
You can by pass the call centres by googling 3 and sniffing out managers.
I'd take the line you have been a good customer X number of years and the few quid PFI pay 3 for what the bleed off you mustn't half be important to lose your custom.

I can cancel both contract immediately no problems there. I have no idea how this company managed to hook into my phone account so 3 will have some explaining to do.
I am pretty old school with my phone being used for calls /texts. I never do any business or banking activity on it. Internet is ARRSE or quick look at the news.

Update: Got onto Network 3 today logged complaint, Process can be tedious but they are going to call me back on Friday with 3 way conversation with Nuyoo. I have left them in no doubt that they must provide proof that I have subscribed to this service( which I have not) and that they must abide by The mobile operators code of practice for the management and operation of PFI (Pay for it).

As 3 are the ones who hand over your cash through phone bills, and they know fine well that these are scam firms (payforit & nuyuoo and others ) and the fact that 3 value the money given to them by these scam firms more than they value their customers, i think you or anyone else affected need to make it clear you will move to another provider.
Like I said above, i even got an acceptable refund.

Record the conversation. Warn the particupants that you are recording the conversation.

While you are at it say that if the matter is not resolved immediately then you will be billing them for your time and trouble in sorting this out. I suggest a minimum of £30 per hour, £30 per snail mail message and £25 per email. Also add that unless that unless they provide full recompense for your losses within 28 days then you will escalate the matter to small claims court.

Result. Network3 arranged three way call at set time Nuyoo failed to answer, they tried several times. Same result. Network 3 then offered me a 50% refund I declined saying that they should prove that I had signed up for this site. After a bit of humming and Arring they gave me a full refund and agreed that no additions were to be put on my phone account unless I requested it via their website.

Pleased for you.
They should be burned in, Hell shower of lying rip-off merchants.

Ive fallen foul of this permium number scam. As far as I know I have never agreed to or signed up to anything. But I had a text message from mobiplanet saying that they were taking £4.50 from my account every week. I tried to text STOP to the 5 digit number but it wouldn't send for some reason (surprise surprise). I talked to Tesco whom I have my contract with, and they have blocked all premium rate numbers at source so hopefully this won't happen again. I contact the Phone paid Services Authority about this and they deemed mobiplanet to be in breach of 8 of their rules. No shite Sherlock! However I should be able to get my money back.

If you fall foul of this scam:

Do NOT delete a scam text as you will need the info/numbers contained to resolve your case.
Do NOT ignore it. You will loose money after 24 hours unless you text back STOP.
Do NOT block the number as you will then not know money is being taken.
DO get premium rate numbers blocked by your service provider.
Do set your safety buffer to zero. This is how the scammers gain access to your money.
Do contact and complain to the PSA.

I popped into my local Tesco store to talk to their phone guy. Evidently the scammers can hide their landing page beneath a legitimate website page. You won't know that you have signed up to this scam until its too late.

FFS bill came today and Nuyoo are still taking money from my hitting my account at three quid a week . Network three given a round of fucks money returned and case is now to remain open until next bill so they have to confirm the scam is stopped. Also referred to the PSA

Is this just with 3?

I'm assuming that it's just android phones, or are iPhones affected?
