Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Equality And Human Rights Commission's Equality Report Shines Spotlight On Divided Britain | UK News | Sky News

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has carried out the first comprehensive survey of discrimination across Britain.

It found that while the country is more tolerant now than 40 years ago, many people still face barriers and one in 10 people live in polluted and grimy neighbourhoods.

Figures also showed that disabled men earn 11% less than other male workers, while the gap was 22% for women.

Black graduates take home up to 24% less than other workers, the study suggested.

It said three quarters of Muslim women are unemployed, compared with a quarter of white British women.

What a load of tosh, ok PC hat off here, but if disabled people cant do a particular job that an able person can then so what, if its someone in a wheel chair doing the same IT work then fair's fair, and Majority of Muslim women I know are homemakers and choose to stay at home or family or religious reasons !
  2. I doubt that, its just people are more careful what they say nowdays.
  3. I suspect that is probably true.
  4. Surely being careful what you say so as not to offend people is being more tolerant?
  5. "It said three quarters of Muslim women are unemployed, compared with a quarter of white British women."

Nice to see those hard working immigrants taking the job that the natives are too lazy to do eh?

Or could it be that the equalities commision should concentrate on the way that Muslim women are oppresed by their loving menfolk?

Easier just to blame whitey for not hiring them no doubt.
  6. Depends really doesn't it?
Are people not saying it for fear of causing offence or for fear of getting into bother? There is a difference.
  7. Unless your from Equal Opportunities cos generally your not white and that's allowed !
  8. Nope, as Jagman says people are worried that if they say anything that does offend they are going to get in trouble. 40 years ago you could more or less say what you liked.
  9. I still DO say what I like.... and if trevor Philips and the rest of his non Anglecynn chums don't like it then they can feck off!! Fecking overpaid quangotwat!
  10. It depends how they measured 'tolerant', really.

Certainly less people are being beaten to death or having shit posted through their letterboxes just for being dark skinned these days.

Perhaps they worked it out that way.
  11. Are they really? What were the numbers for getting people getting killed on the basis of their skin colour 40 years ago and now?

According to this 47 people were murder due to race between 1999 and 2005.
IRR: Forty-seven race murders in Britain since Macpherson
  12. Bit of a problem stats like this, since race-related offences have only been recorded comparatively recently.

Stats for the past are likely to be based on some dodgy methodological survey from some left leaning sociologist
  13. "Police figures show a record number of racist attacks in the area - out of 572 reported cases last year, 60% of the victims were white - and detectives are investigating a total of three racially-motivated incidents during last weekend.
Last week an Asian youth told a BBC investigations team that "no-go zones" for white people were being created because police were failing to respond to attacks on their communities."

Hmmmmm so the minorities are responsible for most violent racists attacks in Greater Manchester and the police do NOTHING.

BBC NEWS | UK | War veteran in 'racist' attack

Or from that other bastion of right wing propoganda The Guardian:

"Nearly half of all victims of racially motivated murders in the last decade have been white, according to official figures released by the Home Office.
The data, released under Freedom of Information legislation, shows that between 1995 and 2004 there have been 58 murders where the police consider a racial element played a key part. Out of these, 24 have been where the murder victim was white."
  14. Think about it:

Logically more whites will be killed since they form a larger part of the population

the ethnics are more murderously inclined since fewer of them have killed more whites.

More like it demonstrates there are lies, damned lies and statistics
