BBC News - Scotland referendum: Cabinet to discuss potential vote

I recall someone saying on here that Westminster would at some stage attempt to force a scottish independance vote.

This seems to be materialising:

"It is understood Downing Street may set a time limit for the vote, possibly to take place within the next 18 months.

Any vote would be between leaving or staying in the UK and there would be no option for greater devolved powers.

Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon accused Westminster of "trying to interfere in Scottish democracy".

To be fair, Scotland is full of cnuts and does deserve bashing at every opportunity.

Bugger, it was sort of an update, thought it warranted another excuse for a new thread. Having said that maybe a mod wants to tack it onto the other one?

Having just spotted the guardian version of this article, in a more recent post from this morning, probably a wise move.

For a second I thought it was our esteemed philosopher and critical thinker of our time, Matematik who started this thread. Thank god, it's not!

Potential upcoming Matematik thread topics:

-Should Wales leave the U.K? If so, are they allowed to have nukes?
-Should Wales and Scotland leave the U.K? If so, are they allowed to have nukes?
-Should England leave the U.K? If so, are they allowed to have nukes?
- Should Northern Ireland leave the U.K? If so, are they allowed to have nukes?
-Can there be two U.Ks at the same time? U.K of England and Wales and U.K. of Scotland and Northern Ireland....or any combination there of..

Please feel free to make any number of conversation starters using a combination of the above issues.
