Channel 4 are screening a documentary in which Ian Hislop looks at six of the Soldiers who were shot for cowardice or desertion in WWI.
Not Forgotten;Shot at Dawn is on Tuesday 2nd January @2100Hrs.

  2. Bit silly considering hundreds of thousands of soldiers were shot. Why concentrate on 6 who were shot in the morning?

  10. Dunno what to make of this Shot at Dawn stuff. On the one hand I feel sorry for the shotblokes(and by extension their families). On the other I'm suspicious of the pinko lefties and sinn feiners who get into this sort of thing, to degrade the WWI heroics.
Be nice to hear the fantastic achievements of the Great War soldiers lauded for a change... Where does the BBC think it's freedom came from?
