Not awight - what really happened at Michael Barrymore's gaff.

Before the swimming pool fiasco,-death-murder-bumming, he appeared at the Mander centre shopping mall in Wolverhampton, filming for his TV show, I was standing looking down from the upper floor walkway, a few people started to heckle, immediately the security people moved in and escorted them out, looking around, there were more security than would normally be at such an event, and Barrymore became very un easy with the situation,. He came across as condescending, and somewhat cheesy.
Soooooo, lets get this straight, you had the perfect opportunity to drop a large heavy object on the odious feckers head and you missed it?

Gave up playing 'Celebrity Cluedo' as it was so predictable; forget Colonel Mustard and all that - it was Michael Barrymore, in the swimming pool, with the 16" Black Mamba.

So barrymore & friends allegedly had a party & a young man dies over extreme external injuries to his anus in a swimming pool at barrymoores house, and barrymore a known gay dogger, can not see anything wrong., NOT

Everyone knows what happened, no one is saying anything and the guilty go unpunished as a young innocent meets an unpleasant end . Ideal for a crime thriller. Could be set in Portugal to pick a location at random.

Probably because there was jack shit of any quality programs on the box at that time.
Yes those of us who were young viewers in the 70's always lamented how things in the eighties onwards never reached the standards set by "Love thy Neighbour" "Mind Your Language" and "The Black and White Minstrel Show"

:p :)

Eh? I'm not sure the victim decides what constitutes a crime

@labrat is spot on. I suppose you think a hardon would trump any case of supposed rape of a male by a female?
I was going to say that it worked for Joyce McKinney, but on checking, that case was never tried....

Anyone else see the Michael Barrymore documentary on channel 4 last night? Watching it is quite clear he knows what went on the night Stuart Lubbock died and both him and the other attendees of that party all clearly know what happened as well but are refusing to say. I have to say I'm glad he's never been able to make a career comeback, I could never stand the bloke anyway.
Watched that documentary last night, it's pretty obvious (and always has been) that Barrymore and the other guests at that party know full well what happened to Stuart and have collectively kept tight lipped over it. Barrymore has always been more bothered about maintaining his TV career and fame than letting that poor lads dad have some peace and know what happened to his son. Hopefully that £40,000 reward for information they've put up suddenly jogs some memories....
I never sow the documentary but as Barrymore wasnt interviewed in it, how did make the case they knew what was going on?

simple, arrest the PA and charge him with tampering with a crime scene then try to put everything on him and he'll crumble like a cadburys flake.

the only other truth revealed is that tabloid reporters are complete cnuts through and through.

I know the Mander Centre very well. I wish I could say I was one of the hecklers. Or gobbing at him from the upper tier walkway. But I was probably on duty somewhere in Germany.

Saw this thread and assumed that it had been dredged back up to discuss the potential that Phillip Schofield had declared himself bent to deflect from incoming allegations of sexual misconduct a la Kevin Spacey.

I offer odds of 2/1...

If it happened somewhere sunny, the Police would investigate it. For about two decades, the bent cnuts.

Stuart Lubbock wasn't 'found in the pool', as the press like to report, but beside it. The statement that he was came from those present.
The lack of evidence to charge anyone also meant thet Barrymore's case to be found not guilty couldn't go ahead.

Who's Michael Barrymore?
