Norwegian nutter weapon system

#1
Anders Behring Breivik, Norwegian nutter and all round **** seems to have photos of himself cutting around with a rather gucci weapon.

My question is this, can you get weapons of this spec 'off the shelf' in that part of the world, and wouldn't such modifications (if needed) require additional security checks of some kind given the increased lethality/utility such modifications offer?

For comparison,

Shows our nutter and

Shows Aussie SF with more or less the same set-up!

Not really, almost all the add on's are easily available, on the net, once you have the firearm the other bits are not covered by any legal requirement except silencers, but lazer sights ,Mag light mounts, even night sights are not controlled

Ruger used to sell two types of Mini14 the military semiauto with combat fixed sights, and the "Ranch Rifle" which had the fittings for full time scope mounted use, both came with a 5 round magazine but could take 20/30 round mags

I went to the local hilly billy gun show yesterday and there was much worse [I actually mean better] available for sale there. Mini 14 is considered a tad tame to be honest.

Mini 14 is and was poo for accuracy, ffs the weapon of choice for the A team. By the way sport is a funny word as practical rifle shot in the manner of practical pistol is a large sport in Eu land with many followers including several arrssers.

Second pic in #1 post is CPL Ben Roberts-Smith VC with an M-14 in some sort of stopgap DMR configuration (can't remember the acronym, it's something like 'EBR')

Edit; Ruger's Mil/LE version of the Mini-14 was the AC-556K, select fire, came in both fixed and folding stock versions (I think)

If I went out lamping for socialists at night I reckon I could break the ton easily with my OA15 DMR.....

What is it with walts, that the first thing they want to do with a rifle is hang lights off it? If they ever did rise up in the name of deranged nationalism, they'd all be slotted half an hour after sunset on the first day.

...except this one; it took them 90 minutes and he did not put up a fight. I too have a surefire light mounted on my Mossberg 500 SPX for 'home defense', does that make me a walt? Walts, as well as soldiers want to pose with ally looking gear the world over, no novelty there I am afraid.

If you mean me, that's why I mentioned them in separate paragraphs :)

(actually, they're more like sentences, really) The sentences, not the rifles, they're more like rifles, in fact they are rifles. How could you confuse a sentence with a rifle? That's just silly. Although you could get a sentence for a rifle, that's what's about to happen to this bloke, in fact he's going to get several sentences for the one rifle, how about that, eh?

The difference is that you have a light on your weapon for a reason with a use in mind for it. Our Norwegian scum bag had two fitted and one of those resembled one of those keyring torches you get from the poundshop.

If you want to hang a feck-off great target indicator off the end of your gat, then go ahead. Alternatively, you could get hold of a top hat with a neon sign on the front saying "HERE I AM, AIM THIS WAY".
