Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. A crew of North Korean sailors became the latest victims of Somali pirates when their tanker was hijacked north of the Seychelles yesterday.

A pirate in the coastal Somali town of Hobyo told The Times: “We have captured a ship carrying chemicals in the Indian Ocean.”

The man, who gave his name as Farah, added that a brawl had broken out during the hijacking as the 28 North Korean crew tried to fight off the Somali pirates. He said that no one was seriously injured.

“My friends who [set off] from Hobyo captured the tanker and it will be brought to Haradheere,” he said. The tanker is expected to reach the coast in the next couple of days.
