Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I have just been on fleabay looking for a new norgie and this seller came up

    FleaBay Norgies

Seems like a decent deal and I've just got 10 and going to sell them at the TAC lol.

  2. Don't you get them issued

  3. You can never have too many norgies.

  4. Yeah but I wrecked mine. Was going to get a new one from the stores but will probably have to pay for it. A couple of mates are builders and they want one anyhow so any that are left i'll flog at the TAC or to my daughter for her cadet unit.

  5. Damn! I thought I'd got a supplier for something to keep five gallons of CoffTea in....

  6. I got all excited for a second, thought you meant Norwegian containers.

    Doh!

  7. These sound knackered. "zips are broken"

  8. Why the fcuk should you have to pay to exchange kit ?

  9. Grade 2 Norgies £4.00 and Norgie containers £15

The one I had came with working zip, bit faded but OK for the money.

When I think how much I paid for one from that Outdoors kit place on Euston Station (Survival Aids??) in the late 80s......sigh. Much beer money wasted AND someone nicked it anyway.

  10. Are you lott talking abouth the Cotton shirts?
Range days and camp duty it is the dogs but, out in the field they are shoite.
Get a Lifa, Ullfroté or something that can keap you warm when wet.

And on a building site, if you happen to use a angle grinder, a Norgy burns like a dry Vietnamese village.

  11. ... or greasy cookhouse stew ...
