No wonder 'hate crime' stats are on the up.

The DOG accused of a hate crime after fouling outside a home in just one of 2,500 cases probed | Daily Mail Online

Further examples in a list of more than 2,500 alleged ‘hate incidents’ logged by the Metropolitan Police in 2015 and 2016 include:

  • An envelope that had been opened and resealed;
  • An accident involving a car that bore a Remembrance poppy;
  • A disputed line call in a tennis match;
  • A dead rat found in a garden;
  • And a man telling library staff he was campaigning for Brexit.

.......Daily Mail and outrage over 'PC gone mad?' I haz a shock - I mean a handful of cases where common sense says 'naah' clearly invalidates the entire concept - Hurrah for the Blackshirts!

Here's a thought, don't be dicks to other people, people, stop over-reacting to minor perceived slights, save it for the real stuff. Respect and apathy - it's the way ahead

Are you surprised? Politicised senior police officers have made it very clear that hate crimes are a priority and that anything you say is a hate crime will be investigated as a hate crime. Which has handed legions of hysterical fuckwits a convenient weapon which they're not shy of using against literally anyone who upsets them.

*******.
It's also given legions of harrumphing middle aged men a convenient seat on the outrage bus. The precious old snowflakes.

Isn't this just a case of a lot of people whingeing to the rozzers about things they don't like &, because nitwitted MPs decided that legislating politeness was a good idea, the police have to either take the complaints seriously or at least pretend to? Which is not to say that the senior police officers aren't being tw*ts by carrying on about trivialities, but the root of this is that their political masters have apparently decided that their career success depends on it.

And that probably encapsulates the way policing and upholding the law was generally carried out before the police were compelled to act by ill conceived, headline grabbing, knee jerk legislation enacted by weak, cynical politicians pandering to idiots with an agenda.
