  3. Definitely one for the Gunner forum, sorry can't help with the book. However go back to the chopper who asked the question. The Riding Troop have been at SJW going back well before 1946, although they are right about the King renaming them The King's Troop. I have seen a photograph of them at The Wood prior to departing at the start of the WWII.
