Australia wouldn’t be my first choice but I’d I was you I’d have already packed my bags to get out of Scotland before it’s sinks further down the pan in the eternal race to the bottom the SNP are intent on inflicting on everyone.

Nowhere is going to be perfect but better to be miserable sat on the beach in the sunshine than trudging round Pollok park in the p1ssing rain. Much more welcoming tax regime too.

As decent as Pollok Park is for fartlek running, I'm increasingly struggling to fathom why anyone with transferrable prospects/ skills would desire to remain in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Scotland.

Cheers DD. Wherever you decide to go, good luck. I ended up in sunny Devon over 50 years ago, courtesy of HM Forces. Never regretted it for one moment. The plan was to retire way up north, think Inverness, hang a left heading for Torridon direction. Never happened. Seeing what the gnats are doing, I have no regrets about that decision either.

its not all roses over there mate - 2 years of covid has fully exposed the fact that Australia is ruled by hardline, power hungry, dictators who actually put Sturgeon to shame! also, according to one of my colleagues who lived and worked in Austrailia your missus will need that 40% extra due to the high costs of property and living - i've not been there myself but others have told me it is very expensive and their govt during covid has been absolutely terrifing! in comparison, boJo , sturgeon and drakeford are mere amateurs in their dictats!
