This works both ways, your constant bickering, moaning, whinging, lies etc (Not you as such, just Scots in general), have turned many of us who really quite liked Scotland and the people who live there, into just wanting you to feck off and leave us in peace.
I absolutely concur.

I would laugh if the Orcadians did a Wicker Man number on SNP candidates to demonstrate their position on the matter.

Wicker man was Western Isles not Northern

Never saw anything like this on Islay:

Maybe not, but they do have some of the best Whisky in the world.

Years ago, I was left in the car with my two brothers while mum and dad toured the Bowmore distillery. There was a colony of ducks by one of the outflow pipes and all was well so long as they bobbed about in the water. However, one of them made the mistake of coming ashore and trying to walk - instantly becoming the duck he never wanted to be.

And filmed in Dumfries and Galloway

A good few years back I was driving down a quiet country road (somewhere out toward Kirkudbright I think) and was slightly startled to see a full sized Wickerman stood in a field

On the road to Dundrennan, usually hold a festival there, but iirc the owner has recently karked it (? Suicide) so the festival's have been cancelled...

He was PM for a while before the pandemic.
During which time he was dealing with Brexit, a general election, and forming a government. Rather a lot, in other words.

And why the sudden urge now except for the Indy ref roadmap

Of course he's going up to see you because of Wee Nippie's latest wheeze, and kudos to her for wasting the Prime Minister's time by obliging him to deal with a Scottish independence whine even though a generation hasn't passed (22-33 years IIRC?), in the middle of the worst pandemic for a century.

Of course, if he didn't go north of the border, doubtless the Nats would all be muttering into their Buckie that he disnae care aboot us, ye ken?

Plus ca change.

Anyone know Nicola's CoS Liz Lloyd.?

Interesting read:

An interesting read indeed.

23. The meeting concluded with Alex making the observation that he blamed himself for having established far too centralised a system of power in Scottish Government and the SNP, and not taking account of how far that was open to abuse by a person of ill-will.

Typical politician. He makes it to leader, cetralises power, then says he regrets it when he is pushed out and someone else takes over. My loathing of him, Sturgeon and the SNP as a whole grows almost daily.

That's nice, dear.

Still going to win by a landslide in May despite your loathing.

Cheers.

And yet you will still be part of the Union.

Totally agree. If Boris visits Scotland this week he will be criticised by Wee Nippie for breaking the travel ban - and if he does not - she will say that it is yet another sign that Westminster does not care about Scotland and the Scots - and use that to push for a referendum. She will twist anything towards her argument for another referendum. As a Scotsman who works in England, I can quite see why she turns the English against the Scots. If only she spent a bit more attention on governing Scotland better - instead of making it her life work to see the break up of the Union - which I believe has benefitted all members over the years. Alex Salmond had a similar point of view - it was not what was best for Scotland and its people - he was desperate to be the first 'independent' leader of Scotland since the union - a perverse view that Sturgeon has continued..

Re the "16 year old" - Although the SNP were, and still are, pushing for reform to allow 16-year olds to vote I don't think that this has yet come into force. I would agree that non-Scots, who were registered, and eligible, to vote with an address in Scotland, were allowed to vote in the last referendum.

Hugely likely since the Scottish electorate really don't have a sensible alternative to the SNP as has been discussed many times.
SNP replaced Labour as the "socialists" and many Scots would rather remove their own nads with a blunted, rusty cheese grater than vote for the tories.
