UK has joined Germany, Franc, Italy and Greece in the Next Generation Rotorvrsft Capability Program. A multinational European project to develop a new Medium Lift Multirole Helicopter

There are a number of existing products from both Leonardoo and Airbus which would fit the bill, though, as discussed elsewhere (P8 Thread), the AW139 would fit the bill quite nicely

AW139M too small and we already got Wildcat but Leonardo was touting AW149 as possible Puma replacement.

TBT Farnborough 2016, Leonardo came out with added weight to the AW149 So here are my photos of AW149 pair. Also it certified to carry Russian munitions. Two years earlier Italian MoD / Directorate of Armaments certified the AW149 (funnily enough on the first day of Farnborough IRSHOW 2014 when they brought over the AW149).

Also I’ve mentioned on another thread, we are also looking to partake in the US Army FVL be it Bell V-280 or Sikorsky Boeing SB-1 Defiant.

ISTR we might be getting a handful of Pavehawks/Blackhawks for ferrying bearded buggers around?
there was a rumor Pushed forward with Sikorsky teaming up with Shorts / Bombardier (similar with manufacturing under license wotj then Westlamds in the late 80s.) but no.

SF priority is the 16 x H-47ER which will be the equivalent of the NightstalkeRS MH-47G Block II

But we have not done the our Part and coughed up and signed on the dotted line.

cheers

The H-92 was one consideration For the Support Amphibious Battlefield Rotorcraft (SABR) in 1999 along with Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion, Boeing H-47 and NH Industries NH90.

N492SR was thr Company demonstrator First for the original HMX-1 Marine One replacement in 2002/3. It also went on European tour twice once in 2003 (my pic still in Presidential colors at Helitech 2003 at Duxford) and in 2008. Farnborough Air Show as mil H-92 (my photos again).

Canada's experience with the Sikorsky Cyclone so far has not been a happy one.
