Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1.
  2. Keel laying?

I thought the Astutes were built in chunks on their end.. The chunks then get welded together and they then glue on the keel!

Probably some Fishhead excuse for a pissup!

  3. Bubblehead or crabmariner you mean, fishheads are surface fleet.

Sent from my iPhone using The Force

  4. I was TRYING to suggest that the "keel Laying" was some skimmer plot, on the basis that Bubblers were too sensible and did not need an excuse for a piss up...

    .. Obviously wrong then!

but what would a Pongo like me know!

  5. S'cuse my ignorance, but is a crabmariner a member of the RAF who is at sea on one of your boats?

  6. Ironic that they start their lives securely fixed to dry land, only to put to sea and find themselves.....

  7. A sandbar 2m below the level of the lowest tide technically cannot be called 'dry land'.
