Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  2. Sailors sail.

    ****ing epic news there.
  3. Does 'life' taste salty?

  4. I see we now rely on charity to provide sea time for the RNR. What next advertising sponsorship for the TA. This Bedford was provided by Pukka Pies The squadies favourite
  5. Well..

You might almost read between the lines and infer that they were sent out as cock-hungry rent boys to satisfy the needs of a floating grey box of raving benders.

    Although I certainly wouldn't.

  8. I still think Ronald McDonald advertising on all combats is soon going to be the way ahead.

I dunno - it's been a while since 'Paras parachute'.
  10. Its a poor press release, but its all part of the move to get people who may not have any RNR experience to consider joining - its the generic story that can easily be carried by local rags and may generate a few recruits along the way.
  11. Army + part timers = The shameful shambles that is the TA.

Navy + part timers = Surely such levels of unproffessionalism, piabeticness and general oxygen thievery aren't imaginable.

    Tell me it isn't true!

Will that be the very same organisation which is trained by the regulars to standards set by the regulars?

    Thought so. Bore off

  13. No, the one that is trained by itself to standards laughed at by the Regulars.

    P.S. Bitey McBitington! :)
  14. Perhaps they could outsource training to the Gosport Ferry Co?
    Only £2.80 a day!
  15. Do they get ipods like the Reg Navy?

    Just asking like.... :)
