News story: Foreign Office Minister condemns cowardly attacks across Iraq

Ministry of Defence said:
Commenting on a series of explosions in a number of Iraqi cities that are reported to have killed at least 30 people and left more than 200 injured, Foreign Office Minister Alistair Burt said:
I am shocked and saddened to hear of the series of cowardly attacks across Iraq today. My thoughts are with those killed and injured and with their families. These attacks were clearly intended to intimidate voters and disrupt upcoming provincial elections. The UK is committed to supporting the people and Government of Iraq in creating a more stable and democratic Iraq.

My thoughts are with those killed and injured and with their families.

I'm sure they are...keep talking, someone, somewhere may believe you.

It's a pity our politicos like Minister Alistair Burt don't spend more time trying to sort out the problems in this country instead of just coming out with these meaningless soundbites and platitudes...

Do they think many people in this country even remotely care about what is happening in Iraq? I'm having enough problems trying to get on with my own life, never mind about a bunch of people killing themselves over whose version of Allah is the right one...

And to think sectarian violence was not an issue in Iraq that was notable for the remarkable level of religious tolerance prior to us sticking our noses in.
News just in. Iraq is now a total cake and arse party thanks to us "helping them out".
