Ministry of Defence said:
The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) is now seeking expressions of interest from industry for the Cyprus multi-activity contract (CMAC). This will provide services ranging from catering and cleaning to waste management and laundry.
The contract will also cover window cleaning, tailoring, road sweeping and snow clearance, as well as the supply of shipping containers, liquid petroleum gas and bottled water, and logistic support.
The contract will run for a 3-year period and is estimated to be worth between £40 million and £99 million.
Around 3,500 UK military personnel are currently based in Cyprus. The contract will cover the garrisons of Episkopi and Dhekelia, the stations of Troodos and Ayios Nikolaos, and the air base at RAF Akrotiri.
It will also cover Bloodhound Camp, the United Nations Protected Area in Nicosia, and the 6 MOD primary and secondary schools serving military families in the country.
DIO is likely to award the CMAC in mid-2014. It will replace a similar commercial arrangement that is due to end in summer 2014.

The comfort and well-being of UK military personnel and their families based overseas remain a top priority for DIO, but we must also demonstrate improving value for money.
This contract requires an industry partner with an ability to deliver cost-effective services that meet the needs of our Cyprus-based customers alongside the demands of military operations and hot climates.
The closing date for expressions of interest is 22 July 2013, after which pre-qualification questionnaires will be issued.
An industry event will be held in Cyprus in mid-September to brief potential bidders on UK Defence, British Forces Cyprus and the scope of the advertised contract.
The CMAC advert can be found here.
