Too bad nothing happened. A few casualties from injured, might be feared.
Such storms usually clean hundreds if not thousands of people from developing world.

Keep whining in the echo chamber

The Disasters Emergency Committee can now move on from Yemen and bring out the bowl for India.
They can hold it out all they like. It's when they start filling it with our cash that causes rising blood pressure.

The satellite systems and infrastructure for quick mobilization system India installed in past few years made the difference.

It rather donates to smaller countries and such organization.
I guess when you have so many, this counts as so few.

'The toll in Odisha due to cyclone 'Fani' sharply rose to 64, ...'

Cyclone Fani: Toll in Odisha rises to 64 - Times of India

When a cyclone hits India it must be like a game of freckles on steroids once the wind picks up the shit left around in the streets and distributes it...everywhere. Definitely not a good moment to go out doors.

Not the best advertisement for domestic disaster response; but a great space programme is still apparently affordable.

'Entire Puri district and hundreds of villages in other districts were without electricity even 11 days after the cyclone Fani devastated coastal Odisha, killing at least 64 people, officials said. People in many parts of the coastal region hit the streets on Tuesday demanding power restoration.'

11 Days Since Cyclone Fani Made Landfall, No Electricity In Puri Still

Still living in the shadow of the Raj. India should have been given the same status as Canada and Austalia.

You idiot,Do you understand that this was a CAT-4 cyclone with winds speed above 215 kmph. This type of cyclone causes widespread destruction to infrastructure.A similar cyclone in 1999 killed over 10,000 people.
Cyclone Nargis which struck mynmar was a weak CAT-4 cyclone which killed over 130,000 people.Hurricane Katrina and maria killed over 2000 and 3000 people in the US respectively.

In comparison only 60 people were killed in India, thus proving the strong and effective disaster management plan of the country.

Most of the electricity poles have been uprooted, restoring electricity which is being done on a war footing will take a few days more.Meanwhile power has been restored in most other affected areas.

The same massive economy ensured immediate relief worth millions of dollars to the affected people

the same massive defence force resulted in prompt rescue operations

the same space program allowed the government to track the cyclone right from it's inception as a deep depression
and carry out early evacuation

The same engineers worked day and night to restore power and water supply in most of the affected areas despite widespread destruction.

Yet your country still hasn't done much to eradicate child malnutrition or children's (in particular) need for healthcare and immunisation.
What is the point of trumpeting about a one off response to a natural disaster when the man made disasters are still so prevalent?
Oh I forgot, it's so you can whine that it's all the fault of the Raj. 15th August 1947 the Raj ended, very few people in UK now who remember the end of World War 2 and they don't go on and on about what was a much bigger event than some natives being given independence.

The Raj?
That's our local Indian takeaway.
What did they do to deserve this?
