Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. We got a briefing from the FCO about this recently. It's a good idea. Those of you familiar with NEOs will know that finding the feckers is the most difficult thing, but if you are travelling in a remote area, or have children doing a gap year adventurous thing, this is top notch.
  2. A bit of a thought, the data on where when and how we go to where we are going is freely avaiable to them already, by info collected by other gov based agencies and our cedit card cmpanies, the travel agent/ online services where we bought the ticket, the info collected at the air/seaport we left by,why do we need to repeat the same info to yet another database, and as for security of info need i say anything
  3. Biped

    Biped LE Book Reviewer

    Wot he said!
  4. How long do you think it will take them to join the dots (Tsunami/Cyclone/Earthquake)?
  5. yes but tracing people through cc details etc needs paperwork - this is quick and family can presumably trace loved ones
