Thankyou.

I see they have given that idiot Ian Blair a peerage as well.

What wonderful additions to the upper house.

Helen Newlove has been made a Tory peer, bet she would give it back for another minute with her old man.
Allegedly "Whet" is missing from the list, this is an absolute outrage, he could sleepin ermine[sp] with the rest of them. :D :D :D

He will now doubtless be joining forces with Kinnock , who also said before he became a Lord he would fight for it's removal , to push forward radical Political Change to dismantle the institution .... but not just yet .... not for his peers or even Peers ... note play on words ... perhaps roll out some change to start 30 years from now ... when they have had their snouts well and truly in their second trough and then gone onto the great " Piggery " in the sky .

Edited ... minor text mod .

Lets see if John Prescott is a man of his words eh?

'I don't want to be a member of the House of Lords. I will not accept it.'

Yeah right...

the sooner we have a fully elected upper house the better!
Nu-labour were nothing more than a re-branding of those on the make.

John Reid, John Hutton and Des Browne all getting rewards for their roles in destroying defence over the years - a long held socialist ideal. Not forgetting the supporting role in discrediting procurement by Quentin Davies. All we needed for the the full set of jokers was 'Apless Ainsworth and Buff Hoon - then the defence debates in the Lords would become priceless.

We now need some Red Tabs to be enobled quickly to redress the balance.

Dear God! Please tell me I am having a nightmare - please, I beg of you!

Illiterate adulterers; political traitors; failed functionaries; useless policemen; third rate but very pompous politicians, all granted licences to trough at our expense until:

The Bliar induced train-crash that is The House of Lords is disbanded.

Come on Cameron, come on Clegg, get rid of this risible collection of failures and get rid of it without delay!
.

Do you Arrsers know that the occupants of the farce that is the House of Lords (think 'Gorbals' Mick and Kinnock x 2), actually believe, that is BELIEVE, that they are doing a decent and important job!

No wonder this ****ing country is broke when thugs and brainless oiks such as Prescott are given a licence to suck up more of my tax-money!!!!

Face the truth, you`re all envious. You all failed to pay attention during the arse licking, and sucking up, lessons during your school days.

At least Paisley will liven things up a bit, that's about the only moderately positive thing I can see from that entire list and that will only be from comedic value as opposed to political usefulness.

Although, with Ian Blair there I bet no one will dare run in the corridors.
