While Boris was writing about bananas he was refusing to prosecute Rochdale Grooming Gangs.

They lying hypocritical millionaire socialist.

Interesting comment in the Guardian/Observer today that illustrates Starmer and the Labour Party's problems:

The point that Mr Rawnsley and, in general, G readers still struggle to understand is that the world has changed.

"Working class people have finally found a voice after decades of being ignored. Extraordinarily, in this country it's the Tories who have identified with them and Labour who, now filled with middle-class chattering-types AND LARGE NUMBERS OF ETHNIC MINORITIES WHOSE FRAUDULENT USE OF THE POSTAL VOTE HAS KEPT SOME LABOUR MP'S IN PLACE, have found themselves alienated from, and disliked by, the working class for whom the party was originally set up by and for.

In turn, Labour MPs and party members, middle-class types almost all, despise the working class and their values of fairness, patriotism and nostalgia.

It's this total disconnect that lets Boris do, and get away with, the things he does. Yes, some Tory MPs may abstain and even vote against the Bill, but with DUP supporting it, he has an almost 100 majority for this Bill, so it's going to get through the Commons easily. The Lords may reject it, so I've no doubt Big Bad Dom will tell Boris to put it through the Commons again until the Lords backs down.

The Red Wall cares nothing for what people abroad think of the BBC some of the other things Mr Rawnsley suggests foreign people think of the UK for (I suspect very few people think about the UK a great deal, why should they? They are living their own lives, wherever they are).

And this is what leaves G columnists and readers so bewildered. Boris simply doesn't care what middle-class G readers in north Islington think. He wants the Red Wall to vote for him again in 2024. Picking fights with the EU and wrapping himself in the Union Flag will defiantly help him to do that.

Starmer knows this and - amazingly - after 3 years of trying to Stop Brexit, Keir is now telling Boris to "get Brexit done!"

No doubt, leaving G readers even more perplexed."

My bold amended to reflect even more reality!!

Rumours that he could have had Saville in the dock while the said Saville was warm and breathing. Report still awaited.

Labour always did have too many fingers in too much P.I.E, just ask Harriet Harperson

Lord Saville?

Surely you mean Savile, as in Jimmy Savile.

Done to death.
" Mr Starmer was head of the CPS when the decision was made not to prosecute Savile but he was not the reviewing lawyer for the case. An official investigation commissioned later by Starmer criticised both prosecutors and police for their handling of the allegations. "

Still, it's Arrse, minds have already been made up.

So he could have overruled it at the time, but with hindsight is now going oh look a squirrel...

But he was running the show and had ultimate responsibility, chain of command.

BBC said he is under pressure from the left of his party to not bin their radical policies and from Boris asking why he hasn’t already binned these radical policies.
Every time I see him he seems to be bland and a bit dim, the grey man.

He's still a Marxist in sheeps clothing

Yep the perfect front man but more like a Marxist in a very pricey suit, no way is he going to be criticised for looking like a tramp at the Cenotaph.
Going to see if there is to be a clear out of Momentum but I rather doubt it.

I must admit he is quite good at apportioning blame after the event... Wonder what he has actually done other than tell others how they had done it wrong ?

Is not the report on Savill's nefarious activities still awaited? perhaps we should now await this before we end the theme? Probably going to cost the BBC much wonga when report published as bus loads of lawyers arrive at their front door wanting compo for numerous women of by now a certain age?
