In some alternate universe, KS would be sacking him right now to back up his claim about Cummings, any odds on what happens in this universe?

Even in our own universe it could be an excellent move.

It would remove Corbyn’s old sidekick, who we need to remember TOLD us the tories would sell the NHS if elected, and also got quite shouty at the MSM when challenged to back up his own conduct.

His appearance with Corbyn where they held up the 400 page dossier.......but then never ever showed the words they pretended it contained was somewhat akin to a propaganda speech from Hitler and , Goebbels with Gardiner playing the part of Goebels.

Gardiner says he knows he has to set an example, and he has already stated what that example should be when he applied it to Cummings.

If KS sacked Gardiner he would rid the party of a Corbynite, assert his leadership and gain a moral advantage over PMBJ.

If he doesn’t act then Starmer needs to shut up about Cummings.

I admire your optimism, but I can't see it, he won't sack Gardiner or shut up about Cummings. He's not the spine for it.

Hold your horses. I wasn’t suggesting Starmer would do it at all, merely stating a case for it.

Barry has reached the pinnacle of political achievement by managing to get a verbal slap for acting the cnut by David 'wacist wacist wacist' Lammy for attending the chocofest.

Been a lot of Arrse twitching lately (and on this cs as well) because BJ is making a bit of a hash of it (not that that would stop some of the Arrses offering to kill their first born if he'd only hum and hah in their direction) and Sir Keir is being seen as a bit of a leader. After Grandad, of course, that wouldn't be too difficult.
But with BJ ratings going south at a great rate of knots and Sir K's going rapidly upwards plus the difference between the two parties now less than the fingers on one hand, Labour are actually looking like they could oust the Tories next time and it wouldn't take much to do it.

Now, that frightens the fcuk out of me. I've been through the Wilson years, the Callaghan years, the Foot years and (to my detriment) almost fell for the Blair years due to the crap goings on in the Tories (but, thankfully, came to my senses and kept faith with the Tories although most of the country didn't).

To have another socialist (small s intended) government frightens me to death. Not as bad as a Socialist (capital S) lot but up there with the scary bit.

And then, thankfully, something comes up that makes sure it won't happen. OK, the idiot Khan is doing his bit to ensure it never happens but the one bloke that could change the way the country feels then does something like this
The Knee

That, Sir K, will make sure that you are unelectable for a long, long time Hopefully your party's next leader (when you are booted out for as dismal a showing as Kinnock and Corbyn) will be along the lines of the previously mentioned idiots and it will be way after my time on this earth.

Now, wouldn't it be nice if the Tories could actually come up with someone who deserves to be called a statesman. That would be the icing on the cake.

Unfortunately some really good Labour MPs left due to Corbyn and they won't be going back any time soon. That small s isn't nearly as small as it needs to be, if indeed it isn't still a capital in points 72 bold. The typeface may have changed and some of the summary edited but the draft still exists in a Momentum communications room just in case they feel emboldened to publish it.
