Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The Blue Hackles strike again:

Brig Hughie will shake them all up I'm sure. He follows on in the footsteps of Clive Fairweather (late KOSB and 22 SAS) who wound up the politicians in Edinburgh no end, particularly that limp-wristed mincing g*y-boy Jim Wallace who was Deputy First Minister at the time and had responsibility for Prisons.

  2. Great news and an excellent choice for Scotland. It does say something for the selection process that a former senior officer was not ruled out of the running, in spite of such robust precedent in Clive Fairweather, and Lord Ramsbotham south of the Border.

  3. Can't think why this image springs to mind...

  4. HMCIP have a selective agenda to report on, they are not always welcome with there comments or observations, and do not in any way make any physical change or have any part in change.
Not to sure how Brig Hughie will shake them all up as stated, because folk have different views on how prisons should run.

  5. For me, it's because the guy on the left (Mr McKay) looks remarkably like the last PM (Army).
