Are there plans to change that policy as the current aim is for every car to be hybrid / electric ?We have clear instructions at work, if we rock up at a RTC and a hybrid/electric vehicle is involved, it stays where it is and specialist recovery is called to lift it. We usually drag standard vehicles to the hard shoulder to reopen lanes ASAP. So if you drive past and wonder why we have a lane closure on for a car - that's the reason.
what tends to happen is because the tech`s work on the same models all the time they know the shortcuts and can do the jobs faster, I was in a nissan dealer for years and could do most of the major services in less than 70 minutes on the cars and the d22`s were not much longer, the best was qg timing chains, book time was about 10.5 hours, got the job down to less than half thatH&L ? (multi site dealer which went tits up some years ago)
I used to speak with a guy who claimed them as Merc commercial dealer used to charge more per hr than an indy but charged much less hours to do the same job!
