I've just got back from a fortnight in Nepal, and I'd just like to say that the Nepalis are the most civilised people I've ever met. I never heard anyone raise their voice the whole time I was there (except the ones who were laughing). It was quite funny seeing people's reaction when they spotted me wearing army lightweights though - they came running up and said "which battalion are you from sir?" - and looked a bit disappointed when I said I'd just been in RN 20 years ago.
The Gurkha museum in Pokhara was interesting too.
