  1. Well here we are the General Election is over but the Labour Party is facing a big problem … potential bankruptcy … after Blair , Browne and their cohorts nearly bankrupted the nation the Labour Party itself is in dire straights . I was always convinced that if they had been re-elected that one of the first Acts through Parliament would have been Public funding for Political Parties . One good point I think the likes of Browne and Harman are responsible for some of the debts if the Party does go bankrupt … how sad . Surely such a great Political Party which has done so much for this nation in recent years cannot run the risk of just fading into political and financial obscurity .

Further have just heard on BBC R4 that the Local Labour Club associated with Blair , in Trimdon , has closed because of lack of funds .

Regrettably I have no spare change having already given to a more needy cause “ The Border Reiver Benevolent Fund “ . In fact any cause would be better than supporting this lot .

What steps can or should be taken to resolve this situation ?

    Edited for clarity .

  2. Perhaps the Government should introduce an "Electoral Failure" tax to further discourage frivolously standing for Parliament - if the Labour Party is going under, best put it out if its misery quickly rather than let the poor thing drag on.

Not getting a penny of mine. Raised this a while ago.

Simply Labour running their own budget just as they have done with the country's. Irresponsibly, without any forward planning and without thought of the consequences. Good socialists all :D

    Serves them right
