Need Help Removing COD2 Mods

Discussion in 'Gaming and Software' started by JoeCivvie, Dec 12, 2009.

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. My COD2 has a mod called 'DadaFire+rifles by Butcher' which I can't get rid of.

I've uninstalled and re-installed it twice, including ticking the option box 'remove games and profiles' (or something along those lines).

I've looked in the programme files and can't see any folders along the lines of 'Mods'.

Any suggestions please? I've tried Googling and can't make sense of the results I get.
  2. Hammer
  3. Did think about that but it's a new feck off PC so a little loathe to.
  4. Hmm...I see your thats the hammer fun gone then.

I would uninstall the whole thing using an uninstaller program...such as revouninstaller (linky thingy) That will remove the registry entries as well, hopefully clearing the issue.
  5. Thanks, Cabana, that looks as though it may be the answer.

I'm running Windows 7 but I'll give it a try and let you know.
  6. OK, tried a different tack and it worked.

I ran a search for 'Butcher' with no success (the mod being called 'DadaFire+rifles by Butcher') but when I tried 'DaDa' I found some files which I deleted and I've now got COD2 back to normal.

Thanks for the suggestions - appreciate it.
  7. Alls well that ends well.....just a shame a hammer wasn't involved.
