I hear the matelots after 3 years training are getting offered £10,000 off the AFPRB to keep them in.

Nothing for the CMT or RAF medic! (says it all!)
  2. thats cos they don't seem to want CMT's
  3. Navy looks after RM's better than MOD looks after PBI - as usual..
  4. isnt it just for submariner ma's?
  5. Afterthought - and it will be taxed..?
  6. Taxed of course, so 10 grand less tax over 3 years not a lot really.
  7. Even less if it pushes you in to the higher tax bracket.... 40% treat yourself.

This may be the case WM.
  9. they deserve it, all that getting buggered for months on end!
  10. Bear in mind that the MAs have to be multi skilled. They may be the only medically qualified person aboard. If your sub is under the ice at the north pole, it may be the MA who has to remove your dodgy appendix or perform that triple bypass you should have had before leaving port!

Just make sure he's sober (and you're not) before any major surgery.
  11. CMTs are obviously paid enough and are happy. The amount of tours getting banded our way then why give us an incentive, we've got the Op Allowance! I hear that we will soon all get Paramedic status and the cheques are in the post.
  12. golden retainer - or golden rivet - your choice!
  13. Navy and RAF pilots are getting another £50,000 retainer.

    Nothing for Army pilots though!
