Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  2. Am I the only one who finds a certain irony in the FAA going out of the fixed wing business, for several years at least, at the same time?
  3. No, and some other stuff.

Edited to add: Flying carrier-based fighter aircraft designed to defend the vessels escorting the carrier - the ultimate in self-licking lollipops.

Best of luck to the RW-types.
  4. But what about if they're defending amphibious forces, minehunters dealing with a minefield, or your logistics? What if the fighters are allowing ASW and the like to take place?
