I'm having a bit of nostalgia for the early 90's Harpoon strategy game. First game I ever played online against human opponents.

Is there anything similar out there today?

Global Conflict Blue 2 looks to be just the ticket. Looks like a beta but worth a go me thinks.

    Global Conflict Blue
  3. Belly button fluff licking.
  4. Have you tried it if so any good? I may have a look myself dangerous waters was a good game but i haven't tried it on line and its not strategic like harpoon more of a simulation

I've just had a go at it.

Its only a beta but its pretty rough so far. Not many scenarios or platforms available and those that are aren't for the most part fully fleshed out. Should be a good game but needs some more work. The interface etc is very good.

Theres almost no British kit so far, what there is is a bit misinformed (Type 82s anyone?). In short needs a bigger, better, database and some UK centric scenarios.

I'm quite tempted to make some myself.

It isn't a huge download (130 megs) so worth having a pop at.
  6. Hello Flight,

I'm impressed that they have even heard of the old girl.

Crikey, she's still around as a training ship...

There isn't a map for the South Atlantic as of yet so can't see why they chose to model her above lots of other types....
  8. So I suppose 'Battleships' isn't quite complicated enough for you then?
