Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I was led to believe I had scabies for 4 months when my skin went tits up on deployment and was eventually medivac'd back to UK when I wasat wits end and threatened to jump ship in Aksaz.I saw a civvy doctor (the quacks at drake kept referring me to GU) and he told me i had an allergy and the endless amounts of derbac I had been given have major messed my skin up...que nmbos at Alverstoke.

Have i got a valid cause of complaint (considering the POMA has the sun shining out of her ass according to the command but we had a death onboard 4 months ago...)

    No further comment..

  2. You'd have to contact medical legal specialists for that one, however if her diagnosis was that bad (scabies!!!) then you may have a case
  3. Had you slept with her? she may have based her diagnosis on the fact that she has scabies so you now have scabies. Plus a lot of other fannytastic tropical, not yet been discoverd, sticky things.
  4. You sure she wasn't a QA

    Normally they are quite good.
  7. I think you have a good case for complaint.

You need to get hold of your medical records, find out what her diagnosis of scabies was based on, did she have a diferential diagnosis.

Scabies normally only needs one treatment, 2 at most.Unless u were being reinfected after each course of treatment.

Personally, I would have had you in front of the MO after my second treatment had failed.

Would need to know more, than the bare minimum you have stated in your initial post.
