Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Nato will work if it has the US technical support, ie The Yank airpower.
  2. To be honest i'd be interested to see how efficently Holland, Canada and Ourselves can operate without US backup. I may be wrong but im led to belive the fighting in Afghanistan is on a relatively small sporadic scale, and may not need the thousands of bombers the USAF has.
  3. US is probably needed more for logistics and intell than actual firepower support.
  4. true, Although we do have the largest fleet of chinooks outside the US. I still believe we can go without US support on this one.
  5. It's not the Chinooks, it's the C5's, C17s, Predators and satellites we need access to. 4 C17's the RAF has just aren't going to cut it.
  6. Agree with you totally. One question that has not been clarified totally is whether the US will be involved in the ARRC deployment?
