Kabul - One NATO-led soldier was killed and another wounded in an explosion in southern Afghanistan, the military said Monday.
'The wounded soldier's injuries are not thought to be life threatening,' an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) statement said.
It did not disclose the nationalities of the soldiers, nor say where exactly in southern region the incident took place.
Most of the ISAF forces deployed to the southern provinces are British, Canadian, Dutch and US soldiers.
There are around 42,000 soldiers from 39 countries under command of ISAF in Afghanistan, while some 12,000 US forces act independently under the banner of coalition forces mainly tracking remnants of the Taliban and al-Qaeda network.
