Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. As reported in the Telegraph...NATO report exposed danger of Afghan 'insider attacks' - Telegraph

I have tracked the report here
http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB370/docs/Document%2011.pdf from an open unclas source. It makes for interesting reading.........to quote part

"note, during the last six month period (November, 2010 through April, 2011) Westerners stationed within Afghanistan's N2KL region (Nangarhar, Nuristan, Kunar and Laghman provinces) who regularly interact and/or train with ANSFs have been over 150 times more likely to be murdered by an ANSF member than a U.S. police officer is to be murdered in the line of
    duty by any perpetrator"

I have myself trained the ANSF in 2006 and was with UNAMA in 2009 and 2011 and involved in some of the incidents mentioned....

Is this report the straw that will break the camels back (excuse the pun) welcome your thoughts.......
