National Action - Thank God, We've Been Saved!

And how many have been public order trained? Not that many I reckon, as you stated there will be logistics amongst that lot, what do they plan on doing, launching pies and pasties at the rioters?
Do not underestimate how effective that could be.

I heard of a Protest Liaison Officer (the Inspector who was supposed to make sure people could lawfully protest and what have you) walking onto a temporary protest village. In an effort to build rapport he had taken a bunch of the food from the horror bags that was spare from the lunches handed out to the cops for them on the assumption they were starving student types.

We received word that he had been chased off the premises and pelted with Peter's Pasties and Sausage rolls, as it had not occured to our Guvnor that the "Food Not Bombs"* lot were vegetabalists.

On the same job, I was walking home one day and wondered why my backpack was so heavy, and found that it had been filled with spare pasties. We had so many of the damn things, people were probably buidling houses with them. They were not fit to eat, that's for sure.

*Other protest groups are available, it may not have been them but you get the general mental picture.

Except XRW terrorists are typically and unbelievably incompetent.
And most are caught by accident. I think with MI5 taking over the main thrust of investigations that may change and become more proactive. One was caught because he had slash up the side of Reading train station, a few have been caught because they had child porn which triggered the investigation and so on.

I think a problem with National Action was that they were trying to get better.

As incompetent as their hillwalking and MMA weekends were, they were trying. Their tech advisor was actually taking sense about encryption and on-line security (if I can find the youtube with their conference on it where the lecture was given, I'll link it - probably been taken down now they are proscribed).
One of the people sent down for membership a few months ago was an "ethical hacker" who stress tested security systems. They had a section of Iron March dedicated to online security which makes it all the more ironic that a majority of the arrests and convictions have come because Alex Deakin hadn't deleted a load of chat logs from a Telegram group.

Proving the point that if criminals are going to commit big crimes, they’re likely to commit lots of small crimes… (Not that child porn is a small crime, but you know what I mean

I have an alibi!

Anyway, "ethical hacker" simply means you have consent before you carry out the test.

The tactics, techniques and proceedures are the same whether you wear a black hat or a white hat.

If they have not learned from Al Capone, they deserve locking up.

Reminds me of one of Sir Terry's(PBUH)City Watch books. The Patrician hears a man has hacked off a dog's back legs with an axe, and tells Blackboard Monitor Vimes to search the man's house, on the grounds that any man who could do that to an innocent animal should be investigated further. The Watch find something in the man's basement. It's never spelled out exactly what they find, but the Patrician orders the man to be hung.

As I said on another thread, it just needs other cities and major towns to kick off before London, those 10,000 will soon disappear to those spots, especially as 1,000 have been promised to NI, and then London will kick off and there'll be no one left to cover it.

My bold Hmm.. precisely, the Duggan riots in 2011 showed where the police effectively lost control, not just in London but several other cities around the UK. I believe our police farce service has even fewer numbers to call on now!

I believe it's around 20,000 less coppers than were available in 2011.

Ironically, while much of their so-called training was ludicrous, a good MMA gym is probably better training than most police recruits receive in restraint, self protection etc. I know several coppers who train in BJJ, Thai Boxing etc on their own time, because they can't rely on the stuff they are taught at the Scottish Police Collage.

I doubt National Action would like to take up Krav Maga....

;)

Having problems getting things to stick ?

They had a reasonably able MMA trainer Heywood who dropped out pretty quickly after he was identified. One of the other trainers was on the point of joining the Royal Marines (so he says) and he had developed a training system called The Centurion Method.

There's probably 10 or 12 members of National Action who either joined various facets of UK armed forces or tried to join. 6 or 7 have been convicted of either membership of NA or possession of dodgy material and I don't mean the cushion covers in Claudia and Adam's house.

Thanks for that. I must admit I initially thought the ban was ott.
.
I am genuinely pleased if I have had some small part in making clear the rationale and danger posed by this group; and perhaps the methodology and intent of them.

They've not gone away however; which is why I worry about the narrative of treason and betrayl.
