Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Funny thing is when I pass through Jakarta airport (capital of the most populous Muslim country in the world), nobody objects to having their baggage/nads sniffed by dogs including the many obvious Muslims.

British Muslims seem to be a 'different breed' to the rest of the Muslim world.

As stated in that article it seems to be more of a cultural issue than a religious one.

Either way, when in Rome etc...
  2. I would have thought they would have to take the "booties" off before going into the house?!

Edited to correct a typo and inform you that I am outraged you made me log on to the Daily Mail website.
  3. indeed - the few times I've been in mosques I've taken my shoes OFF.

  4. Aha, Aha A mirror reader I presume.
  5. This is not new, iirc I have seen this in NI in the past to avoid contamination of the search area. As to Muslims believing dogs are unclean, why the F*&k is Shaikh Mohammmed, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai breeding the things?

Nah - I'll tell you what IS a joke . . . . Before taking the dog on a search op, feed it a load of tripe, then just before you put the booties on and go in to the property, feed it some ex-lax in a choccy bar.
  7. I just love the way British Muslims play this pc fiddle! "Dogs offend Muslims" -- yeah, right, that's why so many of them, especially young ones, have dogs as pets.
  8. Apparently this advert is also causing offence, OUTRAGED muslims once again!

Muslims outraged at police advert featuring cute puppy sitting in policeman's hat

    By Daily Mail Reporter

A postcard featuring a cute puppy sitting in a policeman's hat advertising a Scottish police force's new telephone number has sparked outrage from Muslims.

Tayside Police's new non-emergency phone number has prompted complaints from members of the Islamic community.

The choice of image on the Tayside Police cards - a black dog sitting in a police officer's hat - has now been raised with Chief Constable John Vine.

  9. I would make sure that the booottttteeessss werer covered in G*D S***E.
  10. I thought they were being brought in to protect the dogs feet when searching rubble or doing a raid on some crackhouse covered in needles. Why should Rover get a stick injury?

I'm sure its either some smackhead trying to pish off plod and score a few points, or a bunch of middle class, middle age, middle income whites folks trying so hard to be PC they are thinking up new ways to avoid offending anybody.

If they are searching my house I would less worried about the dogs offending anyone, and more about whether they are taught to sniff out porn.
  11. Does anyone else think, for a second, that we're being played by the Media here?

This is what I think. I think they're deliberately trying to start a religious/race civil riot or war in the UK. I'm just saying, especially as of lately, the stories are reeking of a hidden agenda, and they look like clear examples of manipulating the facts and making the most out of nothing.

That's why I can't even comment/be outraged at the stories anymore like everyone else
  12. In that case then, we will have to wait for the media to say "Honest, believe us, we are telling the truth, this is happening"
  13. I think we should adopt this model
