Is there not a single person out there that knows the answer to this? Would be very interested to hear it as I heard someone talking about this the other day.
Try looking in SOBAG(S), they are on the internet or in hard copy in the Orderely Room and the answer will become clear.
Or would you like us to do all your admin for you
At the end of the day it is up to the person that raises the bill as to whether they will allow you to pay for anything Tax Free, makes no odds whether you are entitled to it or not, so speak to them first
Mehrwertsteuer (MWST) or VAT
Military personnel, UK based civilians and their dependants stationed in Germany
may be entitled to purchase certain goods or services with a value in excess of 50,
without MWST or VAT. For information on this entitlement contact Herford Military 3206.
I was told (last week) that you could only get Mehrwertsteuer off items that you could take back to the UK, but I have had my dogs in kennels twice and got it off the bill.
Technically Im taking the dogs back to the UK, but Im not taking the boarding kennels with me so it sort of blows the first part of my post well out.
