Must Try Harder

The Americans are demonstrating the kind of ambition that a real reserve component needs in the modern world. Yes, folks, they're insisting that the United States Space Force needs a National Guard.

At all costs, we need to keep this kind of thing away from the RAF. The AAC can insist that they've already got an astronaut, but he's not a Regular any more; and that the left-hand seat must therefore be filled by an SNCO with 3000 hours on type; the Gunners will insist that they have to be involved, and 266 Bty are studying whether you can fit Light Gun and prime mover inside the payload footprint of Ariane 6; and some enterprising lads from the Yeomanry who manage hedge funds as a day job, have already booked the next available slot for a SpaceX Starship.

We await the first debates about whether holding your Annual Camp on board ISS means ORP for 15 days...

No replicators in the mess hall? That's it, I'm out!

His Highness and wannabe President for life, Donald John Dada Trump has decreed that annual camp will not be held on the ISS. Rather it will be held on the starship that Colonel Jack O'Neill and his SG-1 team nicked from the Goa'uld or some other extraterrestrial type nasty kunts.

Edit to add that His Highness and wannabe President for life, Donald John Dada Trump has already chosen the new badge for space command because it thought it rather fetching and apt. *

* No one in the Trump administration has the balls to tell him that SGC isn't real.

The last thing you need is replicators, they're right nasty little kunts and they don't even give you one sausage.

Given their USAF roots requiring the best of accommodations and culinary provisions, they aren't likely call.
