Muslim bride reveals a beard and crossed eyes

So much for buying sight unseen. :D

An Arab ambassador called for an instant divorce after discovering his veil-wearing fiancée had a beard and was cross-eyed, it emerged today.

The would-be bride had hidden her face behind a Muslim niqab throughout their short courtship, meaning the diplomat had no idea what she looked like.

But as soon as the marriage was contract was signed in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, he tried to kiss her, before coming face-to-face with her hairy face and strange squint.

‘He was absolutely horrified,’ said a wedding guest.

Like the lights going up at Faces nightclub - you could never be too sure what you were snogging till that point.

I still have nightmares about some of them.

Edited to add: How do we know that is the right woman in the photograph?

Haha its like meeting up with a girl after a great night out in the cold light of day - oh dear. Serves him right he should have to stay married to it, Imagine the fun you could have "what the hell are you looking at?". I love it when a group of people who take themselves far too seriously make a laughing stock of themselves. BURKa - quite an apt name.

Funny old business, marriage. Since seeing this on the tea-time news yestrday:

A man who admitted trying to "sell" his vulnerable sister into a sham marriage as part of a Chinese immigration scam has been jailed.
Michael Wright, 22, from Wiltshire, was sentenced to four years after admitting immigration and perjury offences.
His sister, 24, who has learning difficulties, was put into social services care after the fake wedding at Reading Register Office was raided.

........ I've been totally pre-occupied with trying to work out the chances of being able to flog my brother for £8,000 ..... o.v.n.o. Trouble is, he doesn't have learning difficulties (or, as they call it in the Aussie press article, "intellectually-impaired"). In fact, he's a fcuking know-all. Would that decrease his value?
