Music

I am a confirmed technophobe.
What do I do to get music onto my phone for free.

I've heard of Spotify etc... But I haven't a clue what to do.
I can use ebay and Arrse..thats about it.

Just play your ring tone over you tapping out your impatience and you have drum and bass, your friends will love you.

Download Spotify from your app store (iPhone) or Play Store / Google Play (all others, I think).

You'll need to set up an account (free, no credit card needed) when you first open it. Log in and then search for whatever. If you're on the free version, you'll get a 10-30 second advert every 30 minutes.

It will use your data unless you're on WiFi, though some price plans include spotify / youtube data use gratis.

1. Hand it to a 13-year old.

2. Walk away as quickly as you can because you will never get used to the God-awful tinny sound, no matter what shite is played.

Assuming you have a compatible smart phone you can sign up to Spotify, download the app and have access to '50 million songs for free' (free meaning with adverts) . Scroll down to the bottom of the link below.

spotify is free but has adverts, youtube again is free but plays ads unless you do it through the ghostery browser.

if you have amazon prime then you can use their music all.

there is also BBC sounds and the Global player app that does most of the radio stations.

most phones have FM radio via headphones.

you can also mp3 or download the music you like and load it onto your phone and play it at your leisure.

if you have a particular request I'm sure someone can upload it to a google drive and share it with you.

or find an 12 year old techno whizz - other ages are available but be prepared for attitude.

No.
And my record player jumps when I hit a pothole.
Does rewinding it come under the same laws as using a mobile phone in the car?

A favourable alternative to Spotify is Deezer. Fewer adverts, or none at all...

You could always be a hipster walt, and walk round with one of those record players with the built in speaker

You'd look like a twat, but then that's the hipster look all over
