That's because you can't get hold of MTP material. The only stuff you see for sale is former issue kit of which there is a limited amount on ebay, etc.

The bergan above is probably Vista ATP.

For more details on MTP/Multicam compatibility then check out our article here.

  3. Hmmm, I wonder if I could get away with this as my current issue bergan is a) a long back and so becomes FOGB and unwieldy with anything more than a doss bag in it, and b) it feels as though the straps and back 'padding' are made of concrete; Nothing like back and shoulder bruises from my bergan to get the missus suspicious.

    Edited to add:

Obviously you're the subject matter expert here, but the bergan in the picture looks more MTP-ish than multicam-ish; Is their 'supplier' being a bit naughty and selling MTP or am I just being a mong?

Apologies, I'm clearly being a nugget.

That Bergan isn't Multicam but it isn't MTP either. My bet is it is made from the new Vista ATP which is also an excellent match for MTP.

Found the Britkit link... still no more real info or pics...

Just wondering if this kit will take the abuse... or if it's no better than webtex

  9. well they're made by the same guys that made the 1st airborne webbing military_para_webbing_and_yoke_dpm__18670_zoom.jpg so they should take the abuse as much as any issue tissue

  10. That's Vista.
    Good IRR Cordura.
And the Britkit I've seen has been good stuff.

    Edit to say:
But what makes a "Para" bergen?

It has to be accredited "Jumpable" and I'm afraid that means issue.

  11. maybe it can jump out of a plane all on its own?

Just saw this on the Dragon site:

Almost looks too big! Certainly pricey (250 pounds!!) but it does look well thought out...

  13. Those side pockets really are a case of "too much PALS."

  14. Is that Ross Kemp modelling the Bergen in the extra images?
