MTP and wearing Medals?

#21
Sorry I am going to edit that
I am very proud to attend remembrance services with my esteemed colleagues wearing a blazer medals Beret etc.
However, this particular audience was trying to raise funds and inspire youth organisations and they wanted to see a bit more grit ...so I might ask a serving colleague to join me in combats

Thanks All

Blazer and Beret and Medals it is then.
Thanks, folks I am not going to disrespect anyone. but I struggled with the image of crusty (but completely respected) veterans. In a blazer and grey slacks unless at remembrance parades which I attend yearly dressed thus.
Hence this post after being strangely requested to attend the event in combats but with medals?

It's not going to happen.

thank's folks once again

Good call.
Not having a dig but I must have misunderstood your first.
You say you're no longer serving but were requested to pitch wearing MTP ?
Did you mean combats not required at de-kitting or something I've missed ?

I de-kitted DPM but only my worst kit. You mean you didn't have extra sets?

I needed a TEU for everything that wasn't on my flick.
Bidorbuy got me a decent boat with outboard.

Shame I'm nowhere near a dam.

Wearing uniform when no longer serving is in my opinion no different to wearing fancy dress.
If it's formal, black tie or lounge suit.
If it's smart, a jacket / blazer and tie.
Anything else, appropriate civvies.
But that's just my opinion. Take it or leave it.
