Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. This may not have been so bad in years gone by, but what with the increased rate of operations and decreased period between tours in recent years (see since 1997), any one with any knowledge of the services would know he was taking utter bollocks!
  2. Shocking labour at its best again.

    Hmmm, funny that.
  4. Just subject to a question from Cameron at PMQs.

You'll not be surprised to learn that Bliar did the usual - dancing on the head of a pin amid a general obfuscation of the actualité.

Oh alright - he lied his head off !.
  5. Copy of "leaked" memo sent by Lt Col Russell-Parsons CO 1 GG to MoD

Cessation of Accumulated Turbulence Bonuses was highlighted by the Mail on Sunday on Sunday 22 October 2006, and Mark Lancaster MP. (who in my opinion is doing more work for forces personnel than all the other MP's put together)

    Telegraph article link below:
    MP's misled over troop payments........

Approx 500 soldiers stand to lose £1,350 LSSA bonuses

Edited to add: just seen gurus thread in current affairs! MODs merge please :D
  6. But its in the way he said it. He is right that no-one will lose a penny because it is not money they have earned but money they WERE to earn, so in the world of spin no-one has lost any money as they never had it in the first place.

Same happened with pay cut 2000. Its all about the wording!
