Mounting order

#1
Evening all. I’ve asked the tailoress in Marne Bks to mount my medals but she is unsure if my recently awarded VRSM should go before or after my LS&GC. She is trying to get hold of the DIN but isn’t having too much luck.

Help!

I’m pretty sure* with LSGC’s and similar awards, the medals/ribbons are normally worn in order of precedence in which they were first instituted. i.e. the army LSGC is older than the VRSM and therefore is worn before it.

*I stand by to be corrected and there are exceptions, but this is from one source online.

I had a butchers on the gov site when I originally applied for my VRSM,but the order of medals is as clear as mud ;)
Eh ?
It had the medal name and official abbreviation plus a colour photo.
It shows the VC as highest in order of precedence and continues down.
That's unclear ?

Ok, I realise gongs aren't worn vertically but if you look at the screen sideways that may help.
NB. Don't have your medals mounted horizontally.

It’s a bit clearer in the relevant JSP. Thank you

You mean they've got the medal names, abbreviations and colour photos all in the correct order of precedence plus the entire Sesame Street team to take you through it ?

And people say we're not spending MoD money properly...
