    Glad they survived that - vortex ring might have been a bit more uncomfortable.

    IIRC, ground effect is up to 2/3 of the height of the width of the main rotor but I never saw any numbers relating to the height that recirculation could occur and thougt it more of a risk when leaving an HLS, not entering one.

    Would they not have rehearsed this seeing as they build a compound to simulate the assault?
