Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. This is actually rather good with original footage spliced with interviews of aircrew. It's one of several parts posted on YouTube, I'll leave you to find links to the other bits.

  2. Possibly the best use of the original footage was at the Imperial War Museum: don't know if they still have it, but they had basically a big sealed box containing seats which was moved in synch with the footage played in front of you....it let you sit there living out your Biggles fantasies by pretending to be in the Mosquito as it attacked! Embarrassing or not, I enjoyed it...

  3. I think the original footage is in the World at War series. Absolutely stunning, with laid back commentary from the crews in the run in, as they go blasting in at Angels f**k all.
