Go to Kindle Books - History - Military. In the top right corner of the screens there's a drop down box. Change it to 'Arrange lowest price to highest' (or something similar). The free ones will be the first couple of pages.

Another one free today:

Game to the Last - The 11th Australian Infantry Battalion at Gallipoli eBook: James Hurst: Amazon.co.uk: Kindle Store

"The book follows the battalion members as they leave their homes and lives in Western Australia, embark for overseas service, experience the excitement and boredom of arid and exotic Egypt, and undergo their baptism of fire in the first wave of the Australian and New Zealand landings at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915. Game To the Last casts its net wide to find and tell these men’s stories and is the culmination of many years’research. Author James Hurst has visited the men’s training grounds and battlefields, homes and graves. Many previously unpublished personal accounts provide the heart of the narrative, while extensive research provides context and colour. This is a story about sons, brothers, husbands who became soldiers in a bloody war on foreign soil. Their experiences are documented and retold with admiration and respect, and remind the reader of the human face of war. "

Free now, but to be £5.31 for those that ain't quick enough....

only if they're non DRM protected. the clue is in the file extension name - kindle files from Amazon will be .azw files - they'll be tied to the particular Kindle they were ordered for. unprotected ones have the .mobi extension - which is why all the ones I send you, slug, work fine, (as they are .mobi files) but when you tried to send me the eddy nugent books, as .azw files tied to your kindle, they didnt work on mine.

Stripping all eBook DRM on a PC is very easy.

Google python ebook drm.

Bottom line, format shifting (Amazon to iTunes say), isn't hard and you should feel confident that if you bought it legitimately you can do as you like with it, regardless of pointless empty publishers threats.

If you feel really aggrieved pay them all back by getting a vast free library from usenet.

The easiest way to remove DRM from Kindle .AZW files is by using a Calibre plug-in. If you use Kindle for PC, you don't even need to find PID, just add a DRM removal plug-in to Calibre, then drag-n-drop DRM protected .AZW ebooks onto it, and it will remove DRM protection.
