  1. More British troops will go to Afghanistan
The Government is preparing to send hundreds more troops to join the Nato mission in Afghanistan.

Despite the rising number of British personnel killed and wounded and signs of fraying public support for the mission, ministers are expecting a request for reinforcements from General Stanley McChrystal, the US commander of Nato forces in Afghanistan, who is reviewing the mission.
British sources said that he will next month ask for a significant increase in international troop numbers.
  2. Forget what the generals want, this 'increase' will depend on two things.

First, will Mandelson see any votes in the 'increase'?

Second, will 'Clown' Brown agree to pay or will he demand 'savings' and 'efficiencies' to pay for it?

That first class arse-hole Bliar really did land us in it with his posturing and vanity, especially as he was too cowardly to sack Brown in order to have the appropriate finances provided.
  3. Paul Flynn MP. Normaly a New Labour flunky, has just said on the BBC that the only reason we are still in Afghanistan is to save face,And not make Blair,Brown, Reid and the other war loving wonkers, Look like the cnuts they realy are
